March of Dimes: March for Babies Event raises money for premature babies

There are many notable non-profits based in Blue Ash. This month we are highlighting the work of the Greater Cincinnati/ Northern Kentucky March of Dimes division.

MOD_Logo2008Located in Blue Ash, the March of Dimes mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. This storied organization does this through a combination of education, research and fundraising.

This spring the Annual March of Dimes signature March for Babies, formerly WalkAmerica, gives everyone a change to raise awareness and funds for premature babies. This 6.2 mile event is April 26 at Sawyer Point, 720 E. Pete Rose Way. Registration begins at 8 a.m., followed by a pre-walk presentation at 8:40 a.m. The walk begins at 9 a.m. It spans the Cincinnati riverfront and Covington and Newport landmarks before returning to Sawyer Point.
